Jamaica’s water and housing ministry will invest around JA$ 652 million (US$ 9.5 million) in the 2008-09 financial year to develop water supply projects in several parishes on the island.
Projects will be carried out by local firm Rural Water Supply, which will also invest JA$ 50 million (US$ 737,000) to develop the island’s rural water supply master plan.
Some JA$ 110 million (US$ 1.6 million) is required to upgrade and improve small parish council systems islandwide. Projects totaling JA$ 35 million (US$ 510,000) will be selected for implementation in 2008.
Since coming into office in September 2007, Jamaica’s current administration has signed some 14 contracts for approximately JA$ 89 million (US$ 1.3 million) to develop the island’s water supply infrastructure.

Our problem now is that the borehole we use the water is running out but the geology had identify another borehole where they say it can be able to supply the community and it can help the current boreholes. so our problem now is the finances, thay why am writing to you to find whether you can assist with possible funders.
